Conbit has acquired key assets of OIS Offshore Industrie Service GmbH, including the ISC GWO Training Centre. Both OIS and ISC will continue operating without interruption and will be fully integrated into the Conbit organisation.
Conbit is based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and delivers engineered lifting, maintenance, crane services, and operational support for the offshore wind, oil and gas, and maritime sectors. Through the takeover, the company wants to strengthen its position in the offshore wind and energy sector.
The acquisition includes OIS’ offshore electrical services and specialised crane services, covering maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections. All activities will operate through a new Conbit entity based in Rostock, ideally positioned for the offshore wind market in the Baltic Sea. The acquisition also includes the Bockhorn facility, positioned near the German North Sea region for rapid mobilisation of offshore personnel and equipment.

Same management and insolvency proceedings
OIS will continue under the leadership of Heiko Seefeldt, Managing Director for more than a decade. He will continue in this role within the new structure.
OIS entered financial distress due to a single project involving an extensive marine spread, ultimately leading to insolvency proceedings. Nevertheless, the company brings significant expertise, a highly skilled workforce, and well established operational processes. As part of the Krebs Gruppe, OIS has steadily expanded its capabilities in offshore electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance, and specialised crane services.
Training centre
ISC, as part of the acquisition, will continue delivering its full portfolio of GWO safety and technical training. Its programmes support the growing need for certified wind technicians in Europe’s offshore energy market. ISC’ operations will remain uninterrupted, with Conbit providing long term stability and opportunities for growth.
Conbit will welcome all incoming employees from OIS and ISC.
