Damen Yachting has launched Project Zurich, the third Amels 80 at its second build facility in Vlissingen-East. Delivery is scheduled for later this year.

The launch represents this Amels 80’s first appearance quayside at the Dutch shipyard since arriving for outfitting in January 2025. The 80-metre Amels Limited Editions will now make its way to the yacht builder’s main headquarters facility in Vlissingen City for final outfitting.

As the third yacht in the new Amels 80 series and as an Amels Limited Editions concept, it combines personalisation with a proven technical platform.

Two Amels 80s in outfitting stage

Sold just months after the Amels 80’s market introduction in 2022, it joins its sister yacht, the second Amels 80, currently also in Vlissingen for outfitting, while the first has already been delivered to its owner. The simultaneous final outfitting of two Amels 80s alongside an Amels Full Custom, a number of Amels 60s and Refit projects at the yard underlines the demand this design continues to generate.

‘Yachts of this scale require meticulous planning, craftsmanship and close coordination across our teams, together with the owner’s representative. Managing multiple projects of this size simultaneously calls for experience, precision and focus as we move into the final stages ahead of delivery,’ says Sander Peeters, Project Manager Damen Yachting.

Pool as skylight

This 80-metre superyacht includes a 6.5-metre glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft, which serves as a skylight for the beach club below. The beach club opens on three sides, creating direct access to the sea, and incorporates a comprehensive wellness and spa area featuring a gym, hammam and sauna.

Further signature elements of the Amels 80 include a spacious sun deck complete with a substantially sized jacuzzi.
