The Amels 60 Memories has departed Damen Yachting’s main Amels build facility in Vlissingen following final delivery to its new owner. The yacht is headed for a busy charter season.
Immediately prior to delivery of this 60-metre Amels Limited Editions, the Amels 60 was officially named Memories. The name unveiling took place during a private yacht naming ceremony held at the Dutch shipyard and was attended by the owner’s team and crew.
As with all Amels 60s, the exterior design of Memories has been penned by Espen Øino International. It features the signature geometric windows and includes many of the enhancements included in recent deliveries. Memories is the first Amels 60 to feature custom interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard and is the first Amels new build to have a Harrison Eidsgaard interior.

Delivery within six months
The owner of Memories was introduced by Moran Yacht & Ship just six months prior to delivery – something that the Amels Limited Editions concept is built in mind for. Despite the late entry into the build process, the owner has still been able to make a number of customisations including changes to the Beach Club, owner’s areas and sun deck – where a large sofa with a TV that drops down from the ceiling now replaces a dining table and a bar.
The bridge deck aft has also been adapted from a lounge area with a TV and games table into an on-deck cinema setup. Even with these changes, the owner has now taken delivery of this 60-metre Amels, ready for charter, within just six months.
Project Manager Amels 60 Memories at Damen Yachting, Joppe Osté: ‘When the Owner stepped in, we were already at an advanced stage of construction. The advantage of this was that the new owner was able to make decisions quickly and take possession of it before the start of summer. Until the buyer steps in, we design the yacht for all potential clients. The sales, design, and proposal teams are all involved. That is a major advantage. The custom interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard appealed to the new owner, which allowed us to stay on schedule and move forward according plan.’
