Following the acquisition of PEPP Group BV and approval of the antitrust authorities, Zeppelin Group is now taking over responsibility for the distribution, sales and service of MAN engines. In addition, the company has been appointed by Caterpillar as Cat dealer with responsibility for the sale and service of Cat products in Norway and the Netherlands.
The responsibility for MAN Rollo applies for the Netherlands and nine additional European countries with immediate effect. MAN Rollo BV is a PEPP Group BV company that previously was owned by the Dutch company Pon Holdings.
Following the acquisition of PEPP Group BV, Zeppelin now employs more than 12,000 employees up from 10,000 and operates in 29 countries. Sales are expected to increase by EUR 1.1 billion to over EUR 5 billion. The upcoming integration covers 22 companies of PEPP Group BV in five countries, Norway, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Belgium and France with a portfolio of new and used machines, drive and energy systems, servicing and spare parts as well as solutions for equipment rental and related services.
‘With the integration of the PEPP Group BV and the respective companies, Zeppelin is further diversifying its market position. With MAN Rollo as a supplier of MAN engines, energy systems, parts and services we can enlarge our promise towards customers, employees and partners worldwide: we create solutions,’ says Matthias Benz, CEO of the Zeppelin Group.

Cat dealer
The Cat dealership is taken over from the Dutch Pon Group. On this acquisition Benz says: ‘With the integration of these territories, Zeppelin is further expanding its position as one of the world’s leading Cat dealers – for the benefit of our customers, employees and partners worldwide. The transfer of this responsibility is proof of Caterpillar’s great confidence in the performance of our employees and is a great recognition of our work.’
‘By creating synergies through complementary product portfolios and technologies, we will be able to offer our customers an even broader range of solutions, products and services in the future,’ adds Benz.
Integration and transformation
Zeppelin is now at the beginning of a transformation and the next stage of the company’s development. The focus of the integration and transformation process is on a more international orientation, a greater customer focus and a future-proof portfolio. For this reason, there are also changes to the organisational structure. From June 2, 2025, Zeppelin is organised in four strategic business units (Construction Equipment, Rental, Power Systems, Plant Engineering).
A central “Post-Merger Integration (PMI) & Transformation Office” has also been set up to manage the integration and transformation in a targeted and effective manner. This plays a key role in the integration of new business units and the overarching coordination of all transformation processes.
