Heesen Yachts has delivered the 57-metre all-aluminium motor yacht Santosha, YN 20457. For the Dutch yacht builder, it is the first yacht in a new class. Santosha also features Tier III engines and a top speed of 22 knots.
Drawing upon years of chartering experience, the owners collaborated closely with Heesen’s engineers and craftsmen to ensure every detail of their vision was fulfilled.
Santosha is designed to deliver extraordinary speed, performance, and stability. During sea trials in the North Sea, it performed exceptionally, demonstrating quiet operation and remarkable capabilities in a variety of sea conditions.

Tier III
Powered by two IMO Tier III-compliant MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines and an efficient hull design, Santosha achieves an impressive top speed of 22 knots — a remarkable feat for a superyacht with a displacement of approximately 510 tonnes at half load, according to Heesen.
The owner’s representative Peter Wilson of MCM states that the all-aluminium motor yacht combines exceptional speed and performance with hydrodynamic efficiency. In addition, it has a large range at slower speeds and boasts a shallow draught.

First in a new class
Santosha also represents a milestone in Heesen’s yacht design and engineering. As the first in a new class of 57-metre all-aluminium yachts, it features an enclosed volume of approximately 780 GT and a lightweight, ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form.

‘The accuracy of the weight calculations was critical in achieving the Bahama draught,’ says Peter van der Zanden, Head of Heesen’s Engineering Department.Accommodating twelve guests across six luxurious staterooms, Santosha includes a 63-m2 owner’s apartment on the main deck. The interior spans almost 400 m2 in total. Its exterior design by Omega, including a scooped stern, adds to its presence on the water. Generous outdoor spaces further enhance the onboard experience, allowing guests to fully enjoy life at sea.
