Construction of the fourth EasyMax vessel for Royal Wagenborg has started with a steel cutting ceremony. The new multi-purpose vessel is being built at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander and is expected to be delivered and put into operation in 2024.

The EasyMax concept is an open-top multi-purpose ice classed vessel with a cargo capacity of 14,000 tonnes and a hold volume of 625,000 cbft. It was jointly developed by Wagenborg and Niestern Sander. Wagenborg was awarded the KVNR Maritime Shipping Award in 2018 for this ship design, partly due to its superior fuel efficiency.
