Damen Yachting has sold both its first Amels 80 and its sixth Amels 60 superyacht in one week. The 80-metre and 60-metre Amels Limited Editions will be delivered to their owners in 2025 and 2024 respectively.

The Amels 80, which features exterior design by Espen Øino and custom interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, is a modern and dynamic yacht, which incorporates over a century of yacht building experience. The design was unveiled to the industry earlier this year and boasts an interior volume of 2175 gross tonnage. The Amels 80 marks the first collaboration between Sinot and Amels.

Features include an impressive 200 square metres sun deck, a cleverly designed Waterside Beach Club, which opens up on three sides and includes wellness and spa, huge framed panoramic views over the ocean on main deck and a dedicated owners deck. The yacht has also been designed to a multitude of watercraft and toys and there is a foredeck helicopter landing area.

‘We are incredibly pleased to be sharing the news that the first Amels 80 has sold,’ says Rose Damen, Managing Director of Damen Yachting. ‘This new Limited Editions design really reflects our continuous drive to adapt and evolve to ensure that we continue to reshape our pedigree, experience, and knowhow for future generations.’

Amels 60

The Amels 60 that was sold is a 60-metre superyacht and the sixth hull from this new generation of Amels Limited Editions that was introduced in 2019. Espen Øino provided the exterior design.

In keeping with the Amels Limited Editions concept, this latest Amels 60 will feature the same exclusive and original window design as the first hull whilst incorporating some unique elements of individuality. Its striking colour scheme as well as some minor additional exterior features such as windbreakers and swim stairs will certainly differentiate it from the Amels 60s to date.

Damen Yachting’s Sales Manager Jorrit Pilaar: ‘This latest Amels 60 is a wonderful example of our Limited Editions concept. The owner has been able to step into a new build just a couple of years before delivery and still benefit from the opportunity to make a number of customisations to the yacht to suit his and his family’s needs as a world cruiser.’

The owner has appointed Winch Design to create the custom interiors, which also include slight modifications to the interior layout to accommodate the new owner’s intended use of the yacht as a family cruising worldwide.

The Amels 60 features hybrid power and propulsion technology and features a large sun deck, swim platform and folding owners suite balcony together with a generous interior volume of 830 GT, including provision for a 9-metre luxury tender to be stowed on the foredeck. The Amels 60 can accommodate twelve guests and twelve crew plus captain.
