Per 1 March 2022, Matthijs van Doorn succeeded Emile Hoogsteden as Vice President Commercial of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. In the preceding seven years, Van Doorn was responsible for developing the hinterland network as Director Logistics.

In the past two years, he was also involved in setting up the digital strategy and responsible for the digital portfolio of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.

Van Doorn has gained extensive experience in logistics. Before joining the Port of Rotterdam Authority, he had worked in various commercial positions at TNT. Besides his knowledge of the logistics sector, his experience includes complex projects in digitisation, sales and supply chain optimisation.
