Swiss businessman Mr Micca Ferrero has acquired the majority shareholding in Icon Yachts and all related companies. Founded in 2005, Icon Yachts is located in Harlingen, the Netherlands, with a direct and unrestricted access to the North Sea.

The company’s facilities include a 150-metre dry dock, a 90-metre floating dock and 500 metres of safe mooring. In early 2014, the company was bought out of bankruptcy by a Russian banker. Since 2020, the company has been headed by Tony Gale.

The yard is know for its refit of the Sanaborg, a 68-metre ice-breaker built by Koninklijke Niestern Sander. The vessel was converted into a luxury yacht and re-launched as MY Ragnar in 2020.
