Icon Yachts has launched its latest conversion explorer super yacht, the seventy-metre 2450 GT Project Ragnar. The original vessel, Sanaborg, was built as an ice breaking multi-purpose support supply vessel in Holland in 2012.

The ICE-breaker explorer super yacht was designed by RWD from the UK. An LY3-classed vessel with Arctic explorer capabilities, Project Ragnar owes its ice-breaking capability to ICE class PC5-rated electric-driven ice pods and an ICE Class A1 super hull. The vessel has a range of 6000 nautical miles.

Converting the vessel took two years and included an increase of luxury accommodation areas, a functional designated deck for toys, and fully-certified helicopter landing pad.

The Ragnar will be available for charter via Burgess yachts.
