An oil tanker has been anchored off the coast of Belgium near Zeebrugge due to an outbreak of Covid-19 on board. The captain was in poor shape and was taken off the ship by helicopter on Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital in Bruges.

Of the approximately twenty crew members, at least nine have already tested positive. Most of them have symptoms of Covid-19. The oil tanker, sailing under Panamanian flag, was on its way to the port of Antwerp. The ship remains moored for the time being off the coast.
