Dutch yacht builder Heesen Yachts is currently building one of the world’s largest and fastest full-aluminium motor yachts – the 80-metre Project Cosmos. The company has now challenged two teams to build the ship in Lego bricks and set up a competition to determine the winner.
The Lego versions of the yacht have not been built by Heesen’s engineers and craftsmen, but by the two finalist teams from the Dutch-Belgian television show Lego Masters. To be able to include actual Lego Minifigures (commonly referred to as minifigs) on board, the scale needed to be 1:42, which means the models measure nearly two metres.
The end result can be seen in the video below. To determine which is best, Heesen has set up a competition in which people can vote for their favourite on Heesen’s website. By voting you can win a win a Heesen Lego fan package.
