The cruise ship Mein Schiff 6 on which 12 crew members tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday 28 September may continue its journey in Greek waters. The diagnosis made by the laboratory responsible proved to be incorrect.

The seamen had been tested again on Tuesday, both by the shipping company Tui Cruises and by the Greek authorities. The results were all negative, reports Tui Cruises.

On Monday, it became known that 12 seafarers had tested positive in a sample test of 150 of the 666 crew members. The tests were carried out on behalf of Tui Cruises by a Greek laboratory in Crete. The captain then broke off the voyage, those involved were isolated and the cruise ship sailed directly to the port of Piraeus. The ship accommodates 922 holidaymakers.
