Aegir-Marine has reached agreement for the acquisition of Holland Propeller Services (HPS). The companies are both brand-independent global suppliers of parts and services for propulsion and star seal systems.

With the acquisition, the company seeks to expand its services and product range in the field of propulsion. The HPS personnel moves to Aegir as well, including HPS owner John Schungel who will take on the role of Senior Propulsion Specialist.

Immediately after signing the acquisition agreement, Schungel said: ‘Of course, we are extremely proud of what we have built up with HPS over the past twenty years. However, it was the right time to make this decision.’

‘As fellow brand-independent specialists, their knowledge of products and service philosophy will be an excellent addition to our company,’ adds Ruud Muis, owner of Aegir-Marine. ‘More importantly, our customers will have access to an even larger propulsion portfolio.’
