MHI Vestas Offshore Wind will charter Offshore Support Vessel Acta Centaurus from Acta Marine for the Borssele III and IV Offshore Wind Farm Project. The ship will assist in commissioning the turbines for the project located 22 kilometres off the coast of the Dutch province of Zeeland.

Acta Marine already supported MHI Vestas Offshore with Walk to Work and logistics support services on the Deutsche Bucht OWF project. This was the maiden project for Acta Centaurus upon its delivery from Ulstein Verft AS in 2019. The Deutsche Bucht OWF project was a success in every aspect and finished well before the planned completion date.

For the Borssele III and IV Offshore Wind Farm project, the Acta Centaurus will assist MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with the commissioning of the 77 V164 9.5-megawatt turbines produced by MHI Vestas from Q2-2020 till Q4-2020/Q1-2021. Upon completion of the project, the total installed capacity of the Borssele III and IV Offshore Wind Farm will be 731.5 megawatts, which is enough to power some 825,000 households.

Base-port of the Acta Centaurus will be Flushing, the Netherlands.
