DEME has landed a contract for the transportation and installation of 69 wind turbines at the Zeevonk offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The wind turbines for phase 1 of the wind farm will be installed by DEME’s jack-up offshore transport and installation vessel, Norse Energi.

This latest award, which DEME says is worth between EUR 50 and 150 million, follows the foundation installation contract secured by DEME for Zeevonk in July 2026.

Mobilisation activities are expected to commence in 2028, with offshore operations starting shortly thereafter. Project completion is anticipated in 2029.

Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its Energy Investment Fund I jointly own the Zeevonk offshore wind farm project. Once completed, it will have a total installed capacity of approximately 1 GW.

The Zeevonk project is planned off the Dutch North Sea coast between 63 km and 84 km from the town of Bergen aan Zee. Zeevonk represents a significant step forward in the continued expansion of offshore wind capacity in the Netherlands, contributing to the country’s ambitious energy transition targets.

The project further strengthens DEME’s position in the European offshore wind market and contributes to one of the Netherlands’ most significant ongoing offshore wind developments. The project remains subject to a final investment decision.
