Dutch subsea cable specialist WIND has acquired a significant stake in UK-based Tricore to expand its capabilities. The company also wants to strengthen its position as a global service partner across the entire cable lifecycle.
Tricore is recognised for its expertise across cable testing and termination, fault finding and repair, quality assurance/quality control and technical project support, alongside its digital capabilities, including digital twinning and software solutions.
By combining Tricore’s expertise with the capabilities already present within the WIND Group, clients will benefit from a broader range of integrated services, bridging the gap between cable manufacturers, installation contractors, developers, and transmission system operators.
From factory to final connection
Paul Bass, Managing Director of Tricore: ‘By combining our expertise and services with the broader capabilities within the WIND Group, we are bringing together specialist knowledge, experience and innovation. This will allow us to develop new and integrated solutions that make projects safer, more efficient and easier to deliver, while creating even greater value for our clients across the offshore and energy markets.’
Together, WIND and Tricore are building a stronger platform to support the energy transition – from factory to final connection.
