IHC Dredging has sold a refurbished Beaver 45 to Zane Energy Ltd in Nigeria. The upcoming delivery marks the third Royal IHC Beaver dredger purchased by the company, following their previous acquisitions of a Beaver 1200 and a Beaver 50.

Originally built in 2018, the Beaver 45 underwent a comprehensive check, full overhaul, and refurbishment at Royal IHC’s yard in Kinderdijk, where the vessel was restored to optimal operational condition. The dredger is now prepared for new deployment with extended lifecycle value.

The newly refurbished Beaver 45, soon to be named Cecelia’s Pride, will be deployed in the Niger Delta’s Bayelsa State, where it will support a variety of operations. The vessel will be delivered at the end of May.

The vessel is ideally suited for maintenance dredging of canals and rivers, land reclamation, and sweeping operations essential to oil and gas activities in the region.

‘We returned to Royal IHC because they have proven their reliability, engineering strength, and suitability for our local terrain and operational demands,’ says Idong Omo-Agege, Managing Director of Zane Energy Ltd. ‘Their after sales service (maintenance and support), as experienced over the span of our relationship, has been excellent.’
