Wintershall has contracted Dutch heavy-lift company HEBO for the full engineering, preparation, removal and disposal (EPRD) of two gas production platforms in the North Sea. The contract includes a potential expansion of scope.
It concerns the Wintershall Noordzee L5-C platform on the Dutch Shelf and the Wingate platform on the UK Shelf.
The current scope for HEBO includes all (hydro-)static and (hydro-)dynamic engineering, development of procedures and work packages, and offshore preparations of the topsides and jackets, such as make safe, installation of temporary steelwork and (subsea) dredging and cutting operations.
Furthermore, the offshore removal and load-in of the structures at the disposal yard, including full management of the project from engineering through to final material disposal is also included.
