Boskalis has added the construction support vessel (CSV) Spearfish to its offshore fleet. It marks the third CSV to join the offshore contractor’s fleet in less than a year, following the BOKA Pioneer and BOKA Pride.

With the new vessels, Boskalis wants to strengthen its position in the offshore construction market, and enhance its capabilities across both traditional and renewable energy sectors.

The company acquired the vessel from from Sea1 Offshore, formerly known as Siem Offshore, in April 2025. Sea1 sold the vessel as part of its fleet renewal programme.

Spearfish

The newly acquired 120-metre-long Spearfish is equipped with a heave-compensated deck crane capable of lifting 250 tonnes, capable of delivering loads to depths up to 2800 metres. It was built in 2014 at Vard, Norway.

The vessel is designed and equipped for subsea operation duties such as construction and installation work, inspection and maintenance. The design is of type OSCV 03. The vessel is environmentally friendly with focus on low fuel consumption through its hull shape and diesel electric machinery.
