Concordia Damen has delivered another vessel in its CDS Tanker 110 series. The newbuild, mts Generation, has joined the fleet of VOF Generation, formed by Danny and Wim Mourik and Sergei Mulder. The tanker will transport mineral oils along the River Rhine.

The CDS Tanker 110 is engineered for efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. At 110 metres long, 11.45 metres wide and with a loaded draught of 3.30 metres, the vessel offers a cargo capacity of 2,868 tonnes – around 200 tonnes more than comparable designs. The hull form enables effective operation in shallow waters while minimising environmental impact per tonne of cargo moved.

Sustainable propulsion with battery support

Mts Generation is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system featuring Equadrives from Verhaar Omega and a battery pack from EST-Floattech. EMS integrated the complete propulsion system and all onboard electrical installations. This configuration ensures quieter, cleaner, and more efficient operations, with peak power demands intelligently managed by the battery capacity.

Danny Mourik, co-owner of VOF Generation: ‘The Concordia Damen team listened to our requirements and turned them into practical solutions. It was important for us that this tanker was based on a proven design – reliable and efficient. The fact that, with a draught of just 3.30 metres, we can carry as much as 2868 tonnes is a major plus for us.’

Modular construction

The CDS Tanker 110 is the latest result in Concordia Damen’s successful tanker series, known for its larger cargo capacity, smart design, and reliable performance in practice. Thanks to its modular construction, bespoke solutions such as alternative, eco-friendly propulsion systems, different cargo configurations, or other customer-specific requirements can be easily incorporated.
