The Amels 6007 is embarking on a new adventure as it set sail for the first time into open waters. In the early hours of Wednesday, April 16, the luxurious Amels 6007 passed through the lock at Vlissingen, marking the beginning of its sea trials.

The Amels 60 yacht was first introduced in 2019. Espen Øino was responsible for the exterior design of the yacht. Harrison Eidsgaard is the design studio behind the latest custom interior concept. The naval architecture is by Damen Yachting, the yachting division of the Damen Shipyards Group.

Previous Amels 60 yachts, such as Come Together and Entourage, landed multiple industry awards. The Amels Yachting website states that so far, four Amels 60s have been delivered, with four more under construction at the Damen Yachting yard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

Amels 60

The Amels 60 is 60 metres long, has a beam of 10.40 metres and a gross tonnage of 853. At a speed of 15.5 knots, the yacht’s range amounts to 4500 nautical miles. The yacht can accommodate twelve guests alongside twelve crew plus captain. The yacht comes with hybrid propulsion.
