DE Klop BV has acquired Rohr-Idreco. This comes on the heels of the acquisition of Hollandsche IJssel. Through these moves, DE Klop wants to solidify its position in the international dredging industry and to enhance service delivery for customers in the dredging and mining markets.

Both DE Klop/Hollandsche IJssel and Rohr-Idreco have a long history of supporting the mining and dredging industries.

Rohr-Idreco, based in Doetinchem (the Netherlands), has its roots in the wet mining industry, and focuses on fully electric driven dredges. The company has been active in the wet mining industry for decades and has delivered hundreds of dredge systems worldwide, especially in Europe and the Americas.

In addition to the engineering and manufacturing of complete dredges, the company has its own high efficiency “iPump” dredge pump series, ranging from 200 to 1100 mm inlet, which perfectly complements the pump line of DE Klop/Hollandsche IJssel. This synergy provides customers with access to an even wider range and variety of pumps.

Complementary to each other

‘We are pleased with this milestone for DE Klop,’ says Arnold den Boon, CEO and co-owner of DE Klop. ‘Rohr-Idreco has a long history as a reliable supplier of high-quality dredging equipment. By joining forces, we will create a win-win for both companies, and we can improve our services, and offer a wider range of products and solutions to our customers.’

Fulco Vrooland, Managing Director of Rohr-Idreco, adds: ‘I am very excited about this acquisition. The expertise of DE Klop on the cutter suction dredge side and our decades of experience in fully electric dredge systems, are complementary to each other and will be a key driver for growth in both the dredge as well as wet mining markets worldwide. Rohr-Idreco will continue to operate under its original name and be supported by the current management in a seamless transition to the new ownership.’
