Bakker Sliedrecht has just signed the second major contract with Royal IHC for oil-filled underwater motors this year. The company will deliver three high-performance motors, each weighing 60 tonnes, along with high-voltage cables for a hopper dredger.
Bakker will also be supplying a Dredge Pump Monitoring & Control System (DPMCS) cabinet, ensuring monitoring and control of the underwater motor and pump support systems for this project. This helps to maximise asset performance and efficiency. The company’s team will be on-site to connect and commission the motors for a 25,000-m³ hopper dredger currently under construction at Royal IHC.
