Damen Shipyards has built the first pontoon ever made of environmentally conscious high density polyethylene (HDPE). Built at its yard in Gorinchem for the Port of Rotterdam, the Damen Stan Pontoon B4 is fully recyclable, preserving valuable raw materials and minimising waste.
The pontoon is a cost-efficient, low maintenance alternative featuring high impact, corrosion, UV, and fouling resistance.
The Port of Rotterdam will use the pontoon for mooring tugs.
