Inland shipping companies Amer Shipping BV from Raamsdonksveer, the Netherlands, and MSG eG from Würzburg, Germany, have established a joint venture under the name Stream Shipping. The new company, established on 4 July, is based in Raamsdonksveer.
Stream Shipping is founded as an independent shipping company with its own vessels for new capacities on the inland shipping market. It will also further develop the important topic of sustainable logistics. For example, Stream will focus on reducing CO2 emissions through state of the art hull designs, new propulsion systems and by keeping an eye on alternative fuel developments. For customers and partners of Amer Shipping and MSG, the joint company will offer added value for a sustainable and seamless supply chain.
‘Amer Shipping and MSG pursue the same values and goals in the sector of modern logistics on Europe’s waterways,’ say Peter Buijks and Martin Staats for the founding companies Amer Shipping and MSG. ‘Our synergies are multiplied in the context of the new formation. We are delighted to bring a new player onto the market with Stream and to reach new milestones in terms of sustainability.’
