Royal Huisman Project 406 has left Hall 2 of the shipyard’s newbuild facilities in Vollenhove for installation of its upper deck, sun awning hardtop and radar mast. The 52-metre Alustar aluminum motor yacht is the world’s largest true sportfish yacht.

The yacht accommodates six decks and it is fitted out without compromise for both high end sportfishing and luxurious living.

The testing of most board systems and other innovative technical installations is currently nearing completion before its final transport, upcoming launch and trials.

Unique yacht

Project 406 is a unique vessel in many respects. Interior and exterior design and naval architecture come courtesy of the celebrated Vripack Yacht Design Studio. Its design is extremely distinctive, with a long bow and high bulwarks sweeping through a clear sheer to a low and uncluttered cockpit aft.

The high tower offers views with a downward angle on the water for specialised fishing. Apart from its practical function, the tower also offers a superb viewing platform for guests, who can follow the action below.
