Each year, the Confederation of European Maritime Technology Societies (CEMT) presents an award to an individual or an organisation that has made a significant contribution to the success of the European maritime industry. On 8 November, the Royal Dutch Society of Marine Engineers (KNVTS) will receive this award.

The Award covers all sectors of the maritime industry, including naval, commercial, recreational and academia. The purpose of the Award is to both recognise achievement and to encourage such achievement by others.

The KNVTS will receive the award from Mr Trevor Blakeley, chairman of CEMT, on 8 November at Europort. KNVTS shares a stand with SWZ|Maritime and can be found in Hall 6, stand 6012.
