The Portuguese company EID S.A. and Damen have signed a Declaration of Intent, expressing their mutual intent to strengthen cooperation in the naval shipbuilding market. The initiative builds on earlier and successful cooperation in Dutch and other naval projects.
In the near future, a clear focus will be on the upcoming programmes of the Portuguese Navy. But also, a joint approach will be considered in the wider NATO/EU and global naval market. Both companies are also interested and ready to support the Portuguese Navy to sustain and maintain its fleet in Portugal.

EID and Damen’s support would comprise of the development of indigenous Integrated Logistic Support knowledge and capabilities. EID S.A. and Damen hope to strengthen and expand this initiative through further collaboration with other Portuguese stakeholders.
