To create valuable insights and generate actionable data on the sound levels produced during offshore installation, Heerema Marine Contractors recently used the Sorama CAM iV64 sound camera.
A typical challenge is radiating sound that travels over the water and can potentially cause damage to the environment. In this particular case, Heerema used the CAM iV64 to localise and visualise the sound from offshore piling operations to measure airborne sound levels.

By minimising the airborne sound, noise pollution is kept to a minimum for people on land, as well as marine life.
