The newbuild roll-on, lift-off (RoLo) vessel for Bore has been launched at the Wuhu Shipyard in China and delivery is expected within some months. The ice-strengthened RoLo vessel will run on LNG and was designed by Conoship in close cooperation with Bore, which is part of the Spliethoff group.

The vessel is designed for the transportation of paper products. The 120-metre, 7000-DWT vessels will have a speed of around 15 knots and will be ice-class Swedish/Finnish 1A. The new design meets the flexible cargo transportation requirements of forest products in different forms and will also be able to take RoRo (roll-on, roll-off) cargo, be suitable for container transport, and be loaded with both high and heavy as well as project cargo.

In total, three such ships were ordered at Wuhu due to a longterm time charter agreed upon with Finnish UPM.
