Veth Propulsion's 4000th thruster has become a special, golden one. The international manufacturer of ship propulsion machinery from Papendrecht, the Netherlands, will mount the thruster on the Protoporos 15, one of fifteen ferryboats owned by Greek ship owner, the Tsokos family.
Veth Propulsion has been producing and delivering thrusters since the first was built in 1986. On average, 125 thrusters a year, or 2.5 thrusters a week, leave the headquarters in Papendrecht, the Netherlands, to be shipped globally. Since July 2018, Veth has been a part of American company Twin Disc, but it has continued to operate under its own name. Veth thrusters suit a variety of applications, including ferryboats, and can be adjusted to meet customer requirements and desired manoeuvrability.
