Damen Shipyards Group and its luxury yacht builder Amels have awarded Alewijnse Marine company Admarel the contract for the complete supply of the advanced electrical systems on board the new expedition yacht SeaXplorer 77.

The SeaXplorer 77 is capable of supporting extreme sports and remote exploration in both polar and equatorial latitudes with a particular emphasis on helicopter operations. The construction will take place at Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania, with the outfitting taking place in 2019/2020 at Damen Shipyards Vlissingen in the Netherlands.

AV, IT and Communication Systems

Admarel is delivering a complete suite of AV, IT and internal/external communication systems, including the VSAT and TVRA antenna installations. The company, part of the system integrator Alewijnse Marine, has specialist skills in the design, supply and maintenance of the electronics systems that keep superyachts safe, secure and connected to the wider world.

Admarel will supply some of the latest technologies available in the market, such as a virtual audio and video matrix using network technology.

Experience in Yachts

Admarel has extensive experience in designing and installing electrical systems for luxury yachts, with particular expertise in security, lighting, IT, navigation, communications and audio-visual entertainment systems. The company is active in designing, installing and commissioning systems of these types on yachts ranging from 50 to 90 m.

In 2018, Admarel already delivered three yachts with AV/IT packages on board and is currently working on another five in build at several of the Netherlands’ world-class superyacht yards.
