Alewijnse Marine is close to completing the full electrical installation for the new-build fishing trawler Atlantic Titan.
The ultra-modern fishing vessel is the first of an order for the electrical fit-out of 3 fishing boats that Alewijnse Marine has received from the British company Shipbuilding Asia Ltd UK.
All Electrical Equipment
Alewijnse delivers a complete electrical installation and integration package for the Atlantic Titan and its two sister ships. 'We are designing and supplying almost all the electrical equipment on board, including the switchboards and consoles,' Alewijnse Vietnam Director Daniel Pop explains. 'In addition, we are responsible for the supervision and commissioning of all the electrical systems.'
Atlantic Titan
This series of 3 trawlers represents a new generation of ultra-modern offshore fishing vessels for a Canadian ship owner. They will operate in the waters off Newfoundland. The 29 m vessels are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to the highest international standards for sea fishing.
The Atlantic Titan was launched on 15 June at Ha Long Shipyard in Vietnam, and the official delivery and naming ceremony will take place in August.
Alewijnse in Vietnam
Prior to the Shipbuilding Asia contract, Alewijnse had already worked on the installation of electrical systems for both new builds and refits in Vietnam. Working with the Damen Shipyards Group, the company has worked on a wide range of tugs and workboats, as well as sophisticated vessels for the Vietnamese and Australian governments. In early 2018, Alewijnse Marine opened its own production facility for switchboards in Haiphong, Vietnam.
