SWZ|Maritime's May issue is on its way and will bring you a special on digitalisation as well as an extensive article on LNG bunker feeder Coralius and the second part of an article on Purpose designed LNG bunkering vessels.
With three articles, our May issue looks into the subject of digitalisation. How did the automation virus take hold and what can we still learn today from the first steps in automation on board? Frank Coles points out what is probably the most important in the digitalisation process: the human element. Apart from opportunities, digitalisation also brings (cyber) risks. Paul Carrett discusses them and explains how to mitigate the threat.
LNG Bunkering Vessels
The first part of an article on purpose designed LNG Bunkering Vessels (published in SWZ|Maritime’s April issue) presented LBVs currently in operation and under construction. The second part in our May issue continues from there and goes into LBV specification and design, LNG bunker transfers and future LBV specifications.
One of these LNG Bunkering Vessels is the Coralius, which is discussed extensively in an article of its own. Read all about how the vessel was designed and its specifications in an elaborate description by SWZ|Maritime editor Gerrit J. de Boer.
Zero-emission Vessels
Other topics in the May issue include zero-emission vessels, the official kick-off of simulator training centre Simwave and the 75th anniversary of the NVKK (the Netherlands Shipmaster's Association).
