Common Diesel Generator Protection (CDGP) is an independent advanced protection system that can be delivered with class approval.

Bakker Sliedrecht is the first independent system integrator to offer seamless integration of this kind of advanced protection systems for brand independent electrical systems.

CDGP

The CDGP monitors diesel generator sets closely to ensure power distribution throughout the vessel. This system supports closed bus operation of the power plant in DP mode. This means a vessel can operate in DP mode with fewer diesel generator sets running, allowing significant savings on operational expenses and emission reductions.

A CDGP can be added to an existing main switchboard relatively fast.

Bakker Sliedrecht is currently participating in the Dutch Pavilion at the OTC Houston 2018 exhibition (from 30 April to 3 May, booth 1629-8), where the CDGP will also be presented.
