‘The people in the Dutch maritime, offshore and energy sector are entrepreneurial, innovative and are courageous. There should be more of them.’ With these words, the twelfth edition of the Maritime & Offshore Career Event (MOCE) 2018 was officially opened.

Students, starters and (young) professionals from Holland and abroad visited more than 100 companies from the maritime, offshore and energy sector on 28 March at the MOCE at WTC Rotterdam. Companies presented themselves on the exhibition floor, through case studies and during talk shows with movers and shakers from the industry.

Leave an Impression

‘Meeting your potential employer face-to-face really has added value. In comparison to applying online, you can really present yourself here and leave an impression,’ says one of the visitors during the career event. Besides presenting yourself, other important items at MOCE were sharing knowledge and further development of your career through the different case studies and the On-Air Talkshows at Community Square.

Energetic Interactions at Community Square

Led by Jan Versteegh, known from the Dutch tv show “Wie is de Mol?”, professionals discussed subjects that will turn the industry upside down in the upcoming years. ‘Companies are continuing to try to become part of the future energy system. This is done particularly by connecting to the right employers,’ says Jo Peters of Nogepa during the On-Air Talkshow “The bubbly North Sea”.

The date of MOCE2019 will be announced this summer.
