Danish Naval Architectural firm Knud E. Hansen will form a Marine HVAC Design business unit that will specialise in the design of HVAC systems for the maritime market.

According to Knud E. Hansen HVAC has become one of the biggest disciplines within the company. The dedicated unit is to improve visibility in the market.

Broad Scope of HVAC Activities

The unit will be independent from equipment makers and can cover everything from acting at an early project phase in close cooperation with an operator, up to 3D modelling to perform advanced detailed design.

Throughout the design and engineering process, Marine HVAC Design will be able to implement numerous tools to increase the efficiency of a vessel’s HVAC system. This includes the utilisation of various specialised software packages to accomplish tasks such as 2D and 3D visualisations, 3D coordination, outfitting and steel module design, and the calculation of heat loads.

Marine HVAC Design will be headquartered in Elsinore, Denmark, at Knud E. Hansen’s headquarters.
