Hartman Marine Shipbuilding has delivered the R2 Carrier Baltic to its subsidiary Global Seatrade.
The R2 Carrier is the successor of the Hartman Marine's M2 Runner and boasts similar features such as an open top notation and IMO Class 1 (Dangerous Goods) for which the cargo hold has partially been equipped with a sprinkler installation.
Heavy and Bulky Cargo
The RoRo R2 Carrier has a deadweight of 3500 t, making it suitable for heavy and bulky cargo. The Baltic can take rolling loads up to 80 t per axle. The tweendecks can carry up to 5 mt per m2 with a total of 350 mt per tweendeck.
The foreship is equipped with a spud pole allowing the ship to position itself with its stern to the quay when a RoRo facility is unavailable.
The Baltic will be deployed for Ocean 7 Projects, Denmark.
