Global ship building and ship repair has been struggling with a severe crisis as of the end of 2015. For Dutch ship builders and maritime suppliers, the effects remained comparatively limited to a fourteen per cent decline of € 8.7 billion to € 7.1 billion. Still, after just minor adjustments at the end of 2015, more comprehensive measures were implemented during the second half of 2016.

The infographic in SWZ Maritime's June issue gives a representative view of Dutch shipbuilding in 2016. Subscribers can download the infographic in high resolution from our digital issue page.
