Group De Cloedt will have its dry cargo vessel DC Eems converted into a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD). Kooiman Marine Group in Zwijndrecht will execute the project.
The DC Eems, currently under management with EemsWerken (family Kornet) from Werkendam, measures approximately 90 x 15 m. Upon completion of the conversion, it will have a hopper capacity of 2450 m3 and will be employed within the granulate/dredging fleet of Group De Cloedt, under a new name.
The entire engineering and conversion will be arranged by Kooiman at its shipyard in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands. Delivery is scheduled for early 2018.
