Next week, the Maritime Week takes place with the Maritime Awards Gala as its highlight. The Gala will officially be opened by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

The Maritime Week, which takes place from 29 October to 5 November, is to place Dutch maritime industry in the spotlights. Some of the Dutch maritime industry's finest innovative examples have been nominated for maritime awards. These five awards, the Maritime Innovation Award, the Maritime Designer Award, the Royal Netherlands Navy Van Hengel-Spengler Award, the KVNR Shipping Award and the KNVTS Ship of the Year Award, will be presented at the Maritime Awards Gala.

Prime Minister Present

The maritime industry is thrilled to have the Dutch Prime Minister Present at the Maritime Awards Gala. His presence is felt to underline the sector's importance, despite challenging times in the past and ahead.

The Gala takes place on 31 October at Studio 21 in Hilversum and will welcome well over 800 representatives of maritime industry. The event is organised by the Maritime Awards Gala Foundation, which is formed by Netherlands Maritime Technology, the KVNR, the KNVTS, the Royal Netherlands Navy, Nederland Maritiem Land and the NISS.
