After presenting their innovations to the jury, three companies were nominated for the Maritime Innovation Award 2016.
The nominees are:
- Tideman Boats BV – Fast sailing HDPE-workboats
- IHC IQIP – Integrated Monopile Installer
- Van Oord – Strategic partnership Van Oord Fleet
This year, Netherlands Maritime Technology (the organiser of the award) received a record number of entries: nineteen. From these nineteen, four companies were selected to present themselves to the jury. De Waal BV impressed the jury with the saving potential of its easyflow rudders but was nevertheless the only one of the four that was not nominated.
Maritime Innovation Award
The Maritime Innovation Award stimulates innovative developments in maritime industry and puts the innovative force of the Dutch maritime and offshore suppliers in the spotlights. Every Dutch company, which has recently delivered a new product, service or process for the maritime industry, can enter for the award.
The winner will be announced at the Maritime Awards Gala, which takes place 31 October.
