The National Institute for Shipping and Shipbuilding (NISS) will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary with a specials event.
Together with Netherlands Maritime Technology and several professionals, a number of future scenarios have been developed. On 10 October, these surprising scenarios will be presented.
What will the maritime world look like in 2050? Will it still be a progressive industry? And what will the ships of the future look like? The future scenarios seek answers to questions such as these.
The symposium's chairman is dr.ir. Bas Buchner, general manager of Marin. Guest speakers are ir. Wim Thomas, Chief Energy Advisor/Head Energy Team at Shell International and prof.dr. Rob de Wijk, general manager of the The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies.
