DNV GL has signed a partnership agreement with the Green Award Foundation to promote the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability in shipping.
The Green Award Foundation is an independent quality assurance organisation that certifies shipping companies and vessels which exceed industry standards. It works with incentive providers from all over the maritime sector to offer certificate holders benefits such as discounts on port dues, products and services.
DNV GL will offer Green Award companies a ten per cent discount on training courses delivered by the DNV GL Academy worldwide. The certificate holders and their vessels also receive a ten per cent discount on audits related to environmental standards such as ISO 14000 and ISO 50001.
