(With videos) While the AidaPrima is just making its debut in Germany, the almost identical sister AidaPerla is currently under construction at the dock of the Mitsubishi shipyard in Japan.
The videos below shows the first footage of the AidaPerla while it is being built as well as a timelapse of the construction of its sister, the AidaPrima.
The AidaPerla's exterior is almost completed. The cruise ship is 300 metres long, 37,6 metres wide, has a gross tonnage of 125,000, has eighteen decks and can accommodate some 3300 passengers as well as 900 crew. A new feature is the Skywalk – two glass elevators at the stern, each leading to a glass-floor platform located 45 metres above sea level.
Although the vessel was supposed to be delivered in the fall of 2016, delivery is now planned for the spring of 2016.
