During this session, the Sub-Committee will work towards finalising draft amendments to SOLAS chapter III and the draft mandatory MSC resolution on Requirements for periodic servicing and maintenance of lifeboats and rescue boats, launching appliances and release gear, for submission to the Maritime Safety Committee for adoption.

Also on the agenda are matters related to measures for onboard lifting appliances and winches, passenger ship safety, the safety of MODUs, and protection against crushing of people during the daily operation of watertight doors.
