SWZ Maritime's November issue covers a wide variety of topics, from the world's largest sailing yacht and the Maritime Awards Gala, to Scania's lean production process and how maritime industry can profit from this way of working.

Scania is a kind of place of pilgrimage for companies trying for a lean production process. SWZ Maritime editor Sander Klos paid Scania a visit to see for himself how this lean production process works. One of the maritime companies that also visited Scania is Damen. In this issue, Jaap Gelling explains just how Damen applies the "lean" concept in its enterprise resource planning.

For the November issue, Sander Klos also interviewed Willem Vos on the reconstruction of the VOC vessel Batavia as well as his views on the future. In addition, there are articles on the 150 year anniversary of Damen Marine Components and Flying Focus and reports on the seminar Electrical Installations and the Schelde Conference.
