Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) Fairplayer just arrived in Brazil, carrying three FPSO modules for Estaleiros Do Brasil (EBR).
The large and heavy FPSO modules were loaded in Thailand and will be discharged in Soa Jose do Norte, Brazil. The Fairplayer was chosen for the job because of its lifting capabilities and large flush working deck.
The FPSO modules measure approximately 22 x 17.5 x 30 m and the heaviest module weighs about 1000 t. Jumbo applied special lifting gear and a rigging design to meet the specific loading requirements for the modules and modified the transportation beams into suitable load spreaders.
