Following the move of Piet Mast into the role of Regional Marine Manager for South Asia, Middle East and Africa (SAMEA), the appointment of Rob Pijper as Senior Marine Representative for Belgium and the Netherlands completes the market alignment of marine operations in Lloyd's Register’s Western European Area (WEA).
With Rob Pijper responsible for marine operations in Western Europe, Engel-Jan de Boer takes over Piet Mast's previous role as Marine Area Business Development Manager.
Business Development
In Business Development, joining Engel’s team are Richard de Vries, responsible for all new construction business development activities, and Maarten Veenstra, who has taken over the role from the recently retired Albert Deen, as Marine Business Development Manager for "In-Service" ships. Completing the team is Thomas Zeferer, responsible for communications as well as for the training services LR provides to its clients.
In addition to his role as Business Development Manager, Engel-Jan will continue in his role as Yacht Segment Manager for LR.
Marine Operations
In marine operations, Rob Pijper’s team of managers currently consists of:
- In field operations: Arie Wolters (Senior Surveyor in Charge – WEA Central), Peter Van de Graaf (Senior Surveyor in Charge – WEA South) and Rik Appelo (Senior Surveyor in Charge – WEA North).
- In the design support office: Nader Mansouri (Manager Rotterdam Design Support Office) with Willemien Verdonk (Senior Specialist in Charge – Engineering), Peter van Kessel Senior Specialist in Charge Statutory), Drasko Radalj (Senior Specialist in Charge – Hull) and Gerard Vromans (Principal Surveyor in Charge, Electrical).
- Completing the team is Cintha Lauret (Senior Manager Marine Administration – Rotterdam Support Team).
